My Summer Travel Standards

We are just back from Japan. I knew it was going to be very hot and humid and also we were going to travel many places during our stay. Based on the analysis, I chose my items to accompany on my trip. Here are my standards for summer travel.

  1. You can carry it around easily.
  2. You can use it for multiple purposes.
  3. You can wash it easily.

Let's dive into the items that meet my standards! #tokyostandardsmystandards

Foldable Straw Hat

A hat is one of the must-have items for a trip to Japan in Summer. I like a straw hat with a wide rim because it's airy and covers my face pretty well. Since this hat is foldable, I can easily carry it in a suit case or in my shoulder bag!

Teva Women's Ankle-Strap Sandal

I got this sandal for water activities. I chose an ankle-strap style because it supports my feet better. Teva's sandle is so lightweight that I can walk forever. I wore this sandal at a hotel pool, hotel room, in rainy days and hot days! I had no hesitation of choosing the white color because the sandal is washable!

Water-repellent Furoshiki

Furoshiki is very useful for travel. You can use it to pack your clothing, or as a shopping bag. This furoshiki is water-repellent, so I used it to carry my bath goods or wet swimsuits, or to pack my dirty sandals. L size is made of organic cotton so I could even use it as an emergency raincoat!
