About Us

My name is Riho. I am from Kyoto. I have a husband, son, and job in Seattle.

I am always busy. I am always stressed. I always wanted to enjoy my life more.

One day, I got the best peeler I have ever used. Many Japanese Instagramers recommended it. It changed my life — at least my cooking life. Peeling vegetable skins became no longer my least favorite job. I enjoyed cooking more. I felt I enjoyed my life more.

I wanted to share the great peeler with my friends. I wanted to share with my friends all my favorite Japanese stuff. 

That's how I started Tokyo Standards.
